HVPB’s director Zalia Joi has been a performer all of her life, and strives for perfection, including an impressive portfolio. Training and studying music and theatre at Curtin University and WAAPA has given Zalia special skills to interpret music fluently. As a performing songstress, guitarist and ukulele player, reflects her love of music. You will enjoy her rendition of blues, ballads, jazz, classic hits and forgotten gems. Zalia manages a team of passionate ethically minded performers who are dedicated to each performance. Whether you are wanting a traditional wedding, or perhaps a different wedding theme for a non traditional wedding, Zalia will inspire you with many professional concepts. The audience were totally mesmerised. For the whole 80-minute of this solo performance in a cabaret setting, not a glass chinked nor a crisp crunched, the audience were held totally mesmerised. Despite Zalia Joi having most competently co-written, sang, acted, delivered humor and story told in this production, one still feels that the genius that we saw is only the tip of an iceberg of immense talent. This show could have a run to full houses for weeks, not only the two nights allotted which were sold out well in advance.
